Music industry will file a lawsuit agains Yahoo China

The music industry is preparing a lawsuit against Yahoo China for copyright infringement, in the words of John Kennedy, chairman and chief executive of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, “Yahoo China has been blatantly infringing our members’ rights. We have started the process and as far as we’re concerned we’re on the track to litigation”

Music piracy in China is a big problem for the music industry since it’s estimated that piracy rates in this field are up to 85 percent.
